Name of establishment

Quinta Shopping

Modern shopping mall with retail outlets and restaurants arranged on two floors either side of an open central piazza.

What to buy?

The main focus is on fashion for men, women and children, with over 20 outlets. There are also shops selling home furnishings, jewellery, perfume and golf accessories, together with a range of services including a real estate agent, lawyers, an architect and a dentist. Shoppers will also find banks, a pharmacy and a newsagent.

Food options

Seven restaurants/bars, including British and Irish pubs, a pizzeria, a tapas bar and a coffee shop.

What could be improved?

There’s a small free-of-charge parking area operated by the shopping mall itself. There is additionial parking, but the local municipality rather short-sightedly charges for this during the height of summer.

Insider knowledge

The main central walkway is open to the elements, so you’re dodging the showers if you go when it’s wet.

Quinta Shopping holds an annual Christmas market, together with a range of other craft fairs and special events throughout the year. Check the website for details.

Quinta do Lago, opposite the Conrad Algarve. As you’re looking from the Conrad, it’s the upmarket shopping mall on the left. The one on the right is Buganvilia Plaza, which is pretty grim.
