Why do you love it?
The course location is magnificent, and the playing experience is an absolute pleasure. The main talking point back at the nineteenth hole, apart from the memorable course, is the stunning properties that overlook the course.

What could be improved?
The car park and buggy park are a little untidy for such a beautiful golf experience, but don't let this unduly bother you as you are about to play one of the Algarve's golfing gems.

Best hole
For the longer hitter, the 18th is a fabulous challenge as you will be tempted to carry the lagoon which runs up the left side of the hole. The play-safe option is to the right; however the further right you go the longer the second shot is, so the 'tiger' option becomes all the more tempting. A well-struck drive up the left side will leave you with a relatively straightforward pitch and a birdie opportunity.

Signature hole
My favourite hole is the 6th, as the view over the Ria Formosa and to the sea is wonderful. The elevated tee tells you the story - the hole is a tricky dogleg left, so you need to play a sensible drive for position, giving you the best chance of playing to the green where club selection is difficult, because of the water and the sea breeze. Good luck!

Level of challenge
The level of challenge is moderate to high, especially if the sea breezes are freshening, giving the holes which border the water the feeling of a links course. There are a lot of good holes on this course, and if you are given the opportunity to play it then don't miss it!

The course has received numerous awards, including a ranking of 13th in Europe, the world's top 100 courses and 2009 Europe Golf Resort of the Year from the IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators).
