Why do you like it?
This is an old-fashioned course, where strategy plays a big part. You need to be able to shape your shots as many holes are dog legs, at times both ways. From the tee, many of the holes are shaped left to right, so favouring the ball shape of the average player. However the fairways, which are lined with pines and the odd olive tree, mean that players must play accurately rather than with power. The fairways are undulating and in good condition, making the playing experience very enjoyable. Being Henry Cotton designed, the course has an old English parkland feel to it.
Best hole
The 16th - Par 5 and 604 metres from the white tees - is one of the longest holes in Europe, with two dog legs and tree-lined undulating fairways. A great test for any golfer!
Level of challenge
Narrow fairways, small greens and as a player you have to think about strategy and shaping your shots.
When to play
All year round. Recommend in winter particularly, with an average temperature range from 10-20°C.
