Cool, dark interiors, wonderfully caught in a time warp, circa 1922. Popular with locals - always a good sign.

Lots of tourists sit at the tables on the square, so go inside to get the authentic feel of the place.

A haven of calm in a bustling area of the city. Like stepping back in time. The best pasteis de natas (creamy custard cakes) in the Algarve.
About 100 covers inside, with another 40 or so outside.
