Name of bar/club
Duna Beach Club, Lagos
Beach-fronted, open-plan outdoor venue, with a circular swimming pool as its centre piece. Duna Beach is the quintessential beach club, with cushioned seating and lounging areas and a great feeling of space and freedom.
The club plays chilled-out Balearic beats during the week. At weekends the tempo is turned up to satisfy the revellers as they watch the sun come up over one of the longest beaches in the Algarve. The dress policy is casual/resort chic and guests are allowed to dance in the pool (swimming togs essential), but on themed nights the colour of the night is worn, whether it’s a White and Orange or a Holmes Place red themed party. This hidden gem in Lagos is the place to go if you love to party hard until dawn.
Cocktails, spirits and beers.
Snacks and salads for lunch and a special menu from chef Luis Baena, exclusive to Duna Beach. There's also a special evening dinner menu in summer.
Why do you like it?
A unique location, a unique ambience and a unique style that sets it apart from most other bars that Lagos has to offer.
When to go?
Check out the themed nights during the summer months - they’re a great social night out with a group of friends, and if you dress to impress you may even get photographed and appear in the regional celebrity magazines.
Not so much an issue during the night time, but the car park is separated from the bar/restaurant/swimming pool areas by a railway track which is still in use - but only during the day. Take note of the signage!
The venue can easily accommodate between 1,000 – 2,000 people.
Part of the Tivoli Resort in Lagos. However the bar is located across the town on Meia Praia beach. Heading to or from Lagos follow the signs for the marina. At the Marina Club Hotel (right hand side) take the 2nd exit off the roundabout, drive straight through the second roundabout, follow the road along for about 200 metres and the sign for Duna Beach Club is on your right hand side. There is plenty of parking outside (Note: entry into the car park is via a one-way system). The Tivoli Resort also provides a free shuttle bus to and from the venue for guests who are staying at the hotel.
