Mirador - Pine Cliffs Hotel

Mirador Champagne Bar

Outdoor cliff-top setting where you can sit with the rich and famous enjoying the dramatic views over a glass of bubbly.

Laid-back elegance. The hotel is part of the Luxury Collection and achieves a very high repeat ratio of clients who treat this bar as their second home. Very kid-friendly (so avoid like the plague in school holidays if kids aren't your thing!), the service can often be torturously slow, but you are on holiday so sit back and relax.

What to eat?

Nuts and other nibbles.

What to drink?

Champagne of course. But it also serves other drinks, and is equally good for an ice-cold beer or a G&T.

Insider knowledge

You can also access the bar from Falesia beach by taking the glass elevator up to the hotel from the beach bar.

Anything that clients should know about?

Not cheap. But worth it. This lovely atmosphere is what the world's great resorts are all about. Manicured to perfection, the resort is a true haven - many guests arrive and never leave for the duration of their holiday.

The inspirational bit?

The view.

A dozen or so tables at best, so quite small but just right.

On the cliff-top of the Pine Cliffs Hotel which is just outside Albufeira towards Vilamoura. It is signposted from everywhere. Look on a map and find Olhos D'Agua which is the nearest village.

€95 Moet et Chandon

€260 Dom Perignon

€350 Cristal

Champagne and other drinks are also served by the glass, at standard five-star hotel prices.

Opening times
April to October. Normally from about 4pm but worth phoning the hotel as they do sometimes open at lunchtimes, especially on Public Holidays.
