Vila Vita Parc

Style and ambience
Classical and elegant without being the slightest bit stuffy, this five-star resort hotel is set in over 54 acres of sub-tropical landscaped gardens on a cliff-top, offering unrivalled ocean views. Despite having 180 rooms and suites, it doesn’t feel like a large hotel, as the accommodation and hotel facilities are located in a series of buildings spread throughout the site.

The beach is not ‘technically’ private, but as access is really only through the hotel, the two gorgeous bays in front of the hotel are used almost exclusively by hotel guests. The beach is fully serviced by the hotel.

The main hotel has 65 rooms and 8 suites, with the Residence and Villas adding a further 29 suites. A wide range of junior suites and apartments are also located in the Ocean Parc area, and there are also private villas within the grounds. All accommodation offers ocean and/or garden views.

Food and drink options
Bela Vita: all-day a la carte

Adega: traditional Portuguese, open lunchtimes and evenings

Whale: all-day Italian family restaurant

Aladin: evening grill restaurant

Ocean: gourmet dining, evenings only. Two Michelin stars.

Mizu Teppanyaki: contemporary Japanese, evenings only

Atlantico: Mediterranean cuisine, evenings

Cave de Vinhos: wine cellar for private dinners and wine tastings

A selection of indoor and pool bars

Note: not all outlets are open all year. Check for details.

The hotel also operates four outside locations: Arte Nautica and Prais Dourada beach restaurants in Armacao de Pera, the authentic German Vila Vita Biergarten (with its own butcher's shop) in Porches, and Herdade dos Grous wine estate in the Alentejo.

Other facilities
Pitch and putt golf course, short driving range, 18-hole putting green, golf lessons, tennis courts, volleyball court, kids' club, crèche, wellness spa, indoor and outdoor pools, health club, conference and banqueting facilities for up to 320, near-private beach with snack bar.

Insider knowledge
The spa and several of the accommodation areas are set away from the main hotel, involving a tidy walk or a buggy transfer, but this does mean you don’t ever feel crowded or overrun with guests, as everything is so well planned into the luscious landscape.

The Vila Vita yacht is also available for hire for small groups of friends, business colleagues, or incentives.

Is it part of a chain or a marketing group?
Vila Vita Parc is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World consortium. Vila Vita Hotels also operates a series of luxury hotels in Germany and Austria.

On the outskirts of Porches, a few minutes from Armacao de Pera.
